Split Sheet for Google Sheets

Well, not really. Standard options offer a workaround only: you must use the QUERY function to pull data from one sheet to another. To be more specific, you will have to create a new sheet and then build a QUERY formula listing all the conditions that should be met in certain columns. Then you are to repeat the same for each new set of data you'd like to get.

With the Split Sheet add-on for Google Sheets, you only select the range to process, tick off the columns or set the rows to consider, and decide where to place the result. That's it! The rest is done for you.

1. Run Split Sheet.
2. If your table has headers, check the corresponding option.
3. Pick the way to divide the table: by columns or by rows.
4. a) Select key columns — those you want to split data by.
   OR
   b) Enter the number of rows to cut by.
5. Decide where to place the result.
6. Click Split.

2. Or into a completely new spreadsheet (the tool will offer you a link to quickly open and review it).
3. Or into multiple new files — so each separated data set falls into its own spreadsheet.
